Privacy notice

In short

Who we are

This notice explains how 小白創意娛樂製作股份有限公司 (Unified Business No. 62117883), the company that operates Rookie Social Club (RSC), handles personal data in connection with this website, www.rookiesocialclub.com, and the email addresses listed on it. We follow Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act.

Contact for privacy questions and requests: [email protected] (subject: “Privacy request”).

What this website itself does

The pages are static. Our own code does not set cookies, use browser storage, load third-party fonts, embed videos or social media posts, or run analytics or advertising tools.

Email links open your own email app. Nothing is sent to us until you choose to send an email or submit the contact form. The “Copy” buttons place an email address on your device’s clipboard; they do not send anything to us.

Hosting and security providers

This website is hosted on OpenAI’s Sites hosting service and delivered through Cloudflare’s network. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, these providers automatically process technical data about each visit, such as your IP address, browser and device information, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request.

As part of this protection, Cloudflare may run a bot-detection script and set a strictly necessary security cookie named __cf_bm, which expires after about 30 minutes. This cookie is used to tell people and automated traffic apart; it is not used for advertising.

These providers handle this data under their own terms and privacy policies. We have not added analytics on top of it, and we do not use it to build profiles of visitors.

When you use the contact form

The form asks for your name, email address, company or organisation (optional), the type of enquiry and your message. When you press “Send message”, the form sends these details to a Google Apps Script service that runs in our Google Workspace account. The service emails them to [email protected] and does not keep a separate copy. The website itself does not store what you submit.

A hidden field helps us filter automated spam. To limit repeated sending, the service briefly remembers the email address used, for about one minute.

We then handle your message in the same way as an email, as described below.

When you email us

What we collect

Your email address, your name if you include it, and anything else you choose to send, such as your message, company and role, and attachments. Messages sent through the contact form are treated in the same way.

Why we use it

We do not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails because you contacted us.

How long we keep it

We keep emails for as long as we need them for the purposes above, for example while an enquiry or project is ongoing and afterwards where we need a record of what was agreed, or for longer where the law requires it. We have not yet set a fixed retention schedule; we will update this notice when we do.

Where and by whom it is used

Photos on this website

Photos on this website were taken at RSC events. We removed location and camera data from the image files before publishing them. If you appear in a photo and would like it removed, email [email protected] with the subject “Photo removal request” and tell us which photo it is.

Your rights

Under Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act, you can ask us to:

Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request”. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the time limits set by the Act. In some cases the law may require or allow us to keep certain information; if so, we will explain why.

If you do not provide personal data

You can browse this website without giving us any personal data. The contact form needs your name, email address and message so that we can reply. If you leave out information we need, we may not be able to answer or take your enquiry forward.

Security

This website is served over HTTPS; visits over plain HTTP are redirected to HTTPS. Please do not send sensitive personal data, such as health information or identity numbers, by email or through the form unless we have asked for it.

Changes to this notice

If we add other features that collect personal data, such as event registration, membership, payments or analytics, we will update this notice before those features go live. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
